We have a decent assortment of bondage equipment already; leather cuffs, thigh straps, bed straps, collars, hog ties sets, spreader bars, etc. We also have a pair of furry handcuffs we’ve been playing with lately. If anything, we have so many bondage things that it’s often hard to find the one I’m looking for, especially with a rock hard erection in the dark.
So I was admittedly a little dismayed when CalExotics sent us what appeared to be, hand cuffs. Plain chrome hand cuffs. These aren’t police grade or anything. Thin metal with a little safety latch on the side (should one partner pass out while fucking the other hand cuffed partner, for example). Am I missing something? I have had these for a few weeks now, not reviewing them because I’m thinking, what the hell am I supposed to say, about hand cuffs. It’s like writing about a glass of water.
Then I started thinking, and looking, and thinking. What’s NOT normal about these cuffs, is the chain between them. It’s over 18” from cuff to cuff. Most play cuffs are more like 3”. I started doing image searches for “sex hand cuffs”, “long chain cuffs” , even “passed out sex hand cuffs” cause ya never know. And my brain started working, thought it admittedly had to fight for blood.
So with a long chain between the cuffs, what could you do that maybe you couldn’t do with the short chain. Well, you could go around much larger things. You could stretch and reach out to “attachments” that short cuffs wouldn’t. You could cuff your girl to her girlfriend, and then take them out to a bar for drinks. They could move, but not separate. With the right clothing, only you would know. Like Siamese sex twins. Good for covert bondage.
A simple benefit is, she could have the cuffs on and lie on her back. Her hands would be on her side, but she could only reach by moving the other hand in the same direction. And it wouldn’t hurt because she would not be lying on top of the cuffs, just the chain.
Another thing I realized, is that in it’s own way, this is kind of adjustable. Any link can be inserted into the cuff bar before you close it, essentially allowing you to shorten the effective length. Sure there’ll be some links hanging loose, but then if she runs, you’ll be better able to hear her!
Here’s a short list of other thoughts I’ve had. I’m sure there are millions more ways to use hand 
cuffs, outside of a police car. But most of these ideas take advantage of the fact that the chain is longer.
